About me…

A child of divorced parents, I grew up in southern California. I moved many many times as a teenager and young adult. As an “older” adult, I eventually graduated from UCLA with a degree in Women’s Studies focusing on psychology and health. That’s a great story that I share in my Master Class!

The journey of my life, like many of us, has had many twists and turns. I started experiencing abuse (physical, psychological, and emotional) as a toddler, almost consistently existing in a state of fear of what was to come next. In my teens, I began to suffer from depression because of the childhood years and during this time, the sexual abuse. In my mid-20s, I sought counseling for the depression, and it definitely helped a lot. However, something was still missing. I still thought of myself as less than, not enough, and not worthy of love. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that it was ME who needed to love myself. It did not matter who loved me.  It wasn’t what I needed from within.

When I began practicing yoga (asana), the eyes of my soul really started to see. I had tried yoga classes here and there, but in 2008, I consistently began a yoga practice. I was still psychologically suffering from past events of my youth and continuing post-pardon depression and anxiety following the birth of my son. I was on medication for both as well.  My weight increase was becoming clearer as my clothes were getting tighter and tighter. I started yoga as a form of exercise and very quickly started noticing that I was feeling better mentally, as well as physically.

Over the course of a decade, I continued practicing yoga and began to try out many different styles of yoga. I decided to tap into my desire and gift for helping people, and I became a Certified Strategic Interventionist. My personal coaching skills were enhanced because of the tools I learned in that program and surviving my own personal traumatic experiences.  Within a few years, I knew I wanted to support people in another way, so I became a Register Yoga Teacher. Now, with over 3,000 hours of supplemental education, training, and teaching, I teach yoga classes online and in person. I have also received my Reiki Master Certification, which has allowed me to further develop and share my intuitive self-healing gifts. My mission is to motivate and move people, of all ages and abilities, past their suffering of the past or their current obstacles through teaching, coaching and Reiki.

I have worked with many clients combining Yoga philosophies and practices, sharing the self-healing benefits of Reiki, and creating personal coaching programs to support and increase their personal growth. Many of us continue to suffer or have needlessly suffered physically, emotionally, and mentally in our life. I feel it is important to get back to the roots of healing, which is self-love. My clients evaluate the disempowering and limiting beliefs that have prevented them from enjoying their present and planning their future. They have taken a look at how their life is solely based on their past of who they once were decades ago.

It all starts with asking, “What will I no longer tolerate?  Am I ready to be ME?” You deserve to live authentically. You are worthy of living the life you desire. It’s time you forgive yourself, let go of the guilt, and learn to love YOU. I know you want to move forward without the burdens of the past on your shoulders.  If you’re ready to learn to self-heal, then I am here to guide you.

I look forward to working with you on your journey on this exciting in-depth look into yourself. Contact me for a free short consult. We can discuss different programs as each client’s program is created with the individual in mind.  our program will include many Yoga modalities, as well as a specially-designed strategic intervention plan. You deserve this time as we only get this One Precious Life.
